I was born as the seventh child in Ostfriesland in the year of the great flood in 1962. The flat country, the raging sea and the harsh wind impress me until today.
In the age of 17 I dedicated my life to Jesus Christ, before I had heard the gospel in a tent mission.
After high school I studied theology at a theological
seminary in Basel (STH), Switzerland (www.sthbasel.ch) from 1982 to 1988 with the graduate degree of Th.M.
During my studies I made an internship in Muela, 500 km south-east of Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
At STH I met my wife Christine. We have three children.

First I worked as an evangelist in the East Frisian Tent Mission from 1988 to 1998.
In 1990 I established a private bible school (three-year theological college as a full-time boarding school) in Großheide (BMO, www.b-m-o.org).
My tasks were the development of the theological curriculum, the support of students and teachers, teacher conferences and to give lectures.
I also worked with Sinti.
From 1998 until April 2012 I was the chairman of the association OZM and BMO.
Since June 2012 I am looking for a new challenge to work as a theological lecturer.
